I am a senior academic operations leader with experience across academic medicine, instructional design, educational systems, librarianship, and management. In early 2024, I joined the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as the inaugural Director of Curriculum Operations, where I lead undergraduate medical education curriculum operations, governance processes, educational systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
In this role, I work closely with faculty, staff, students, and institutional leaders to support the effective administration of the curriculum across all four years of undergraduate medical education. My work includes operational oversight, process improvement, systems support, budgeting, and alignment with institutional policies and accreditation expectations.
Before joining the University of Miami, I spent 10 years at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where I served in instructional design leadership roles and worked closely with faculty on curriculum design, educational technology, faculty development, and learning innovation. That experience continues to shape my approach to educational operations, with an emphasis on thoughtful systems, strong collaboration, and practical support for learners and educators.
My professional background in library science, instructional design, and leadership gives me a distinctive perspective on how educational systems function in practice. I am especially interested in curriculum operations, learning management systems, governance, quality improvement, and the ways effective processes can strengthen the learner experience.
